Bookish Bookstore’s Lulu

31 Aug

Bookish Lulu

Lulu enjoys a sunny day in front of her store, Bookish, in Berkeley, California. Bookish owner Gina says, “Lulu always freaks people out, she’s just a dog hanging outside a bookstore enjoying the sun.” Gina regularly hears, “Who’s dog is that?”, “Why doesn’t she take off?” and “She needs to be on a leash!” To which Gina replies, #sighberkeleychill.

Daisy the dog – Red Balloon Bookshop

18 Sep

daisy from Red Balloon

Daisy, pictured here in a tutu, enjoyed Paws on Grand last month, St. Paul’s annual dog day on Grand Avenue. Red Balloon Bookshop welcomed dog visitors with treats and a story hour featuring special guest Spot (from the popular children’s books). The dogs seemed to enjoy story hour as much as the kids. Bookstore Dog Zeus, of The Book Juggler

5 Aug

The Book Juggler - Zeus

This is Zeus, resident dog at The Book Juggler in Willits, CA.  Bookstore owner Greta describes bringing her dog to work:

“I’m sure most shop owners will tell you it’s sometimes tricky to have a pet at work (dogs always seem to need a pee break right when a large group of customers come in) but it’s also a lot of fun. We have 1 or 2 people daily who come in just to say hi to Zeus. And when we travel to any of our neighboring towns we always run into folks who recognize Zeus before they recognize us. The dog has his fans!”
